In 2017, KARCHER DESIGN was one of the first suppliers to launch modern and minimalist door handles in its finish Cosmos Black to the German market. The concentrated matt and deep black surface is reminiscent of the depths of the cosmos. The surface is complimented by its very pleasant and soft-touch feel of quality and outstanding design. The colour cosmos black completes modern interior design concepts and is eye-catching on every door.

Inspired by the moons of Saturn, KARCHER DESIGN developed the shade Titan Grey. Titan Grey impresses with its matt surface and warm grey colour. When cold light falls on the door handle, the Titanium Grey colour reflects a soft light ambience. With its metallic shimmer, the pleasant depth of colour blends into the overall aesthetic of a room.

The oil rubbed bronze finish door handles, with their dark brown coating, imposes a warm, calm character, which is additionally emphasised by an extremely supple surface. Sanding the edges creates fine bronzed contours that set noble accents. In relevance to the Karcher Design range, oil rubbed bronze is specially designed for contemporary models with clearly defined edges.

Setting elegant accents.

The finish itself is dark brown and has a very smooth surface which gives the door handles a rather warm tone and makes them pleasant to use. Every model in Oil Rubbed Bronze has fine bronze-colored contours, the defining feature of this elegant color.

A special kind of touch sensation is offered by the cosmos black coated products from Karcher Design. The matt black color is applied to the door handle by powder coating. The process is environmentally friendly and makes the products scratch and corrosion resistant. The silky soft surface creates an unforgettable feeling.

TITAN GREY

Metallic shimmer.

OIL RUBBED BRONZE

This finish, applied by electroplating, gives stainless steel door handles with their dark brown coating a warm, calm character, which is further emphasised by an extremely smooth surface. Grinding along the edges of the handles creates fine bronze-coloured contours that set noble accents. This effect is particularly effective in office buildings and other public facilities. Accordingly, oil rubbed bronze is specially designed for models with clearly defined edges.

The door handles are tested according to DIN EN1906 and certified with use category 3.

COSMOS BLACK

The color is particularly popular in the architecture scene. Karcher Design products already adorn well-known references such as the main headquarters "Cosmo" of Christian Dior Parfum in Paris, the Boutique Hotel Kimpton DeWitt in Amsterdam, several sales outlets of the car manufacturer Mercedes in France or many office furnishings of the WeWork group.

The Muuuz International Awards are organised by ArchiDesignClub in collaboration with Muuuz magazine. Each year, they honour the most outstanding new products in the field of architecture, including a total of six categories: Construction & Architecture Layout, Coatings & Materials, Home Furniture, Lighting, Kitchen & Bathroom and Outdoor.

The Red Dot Design Award is one of the largest design competitions worldwide. Participants can enter in three disciplines: Product Design, Brands & Communication Design and Design Concept. For each award, a jury meets annually to review the submissions individually and then subsequently decide on the awards.

The “Solutions of the Year” prize, which we award as part of the “Hous-es of the Year” competition, seeks out and rewards the most innovative product solutions for professional house building.
