An interplay of modernity and materiality

In the middle of the south-west of Munich, in a quiet residential area, a two-storey single-family house has been standing since the end of 2020, which stands out from the rest of the residential buildings there due to its construction and interior design.

It is a residential house built in timber frame construction, which thanks to its modern reduced architectural language puts a new focus on modern building.
Even the vertical formwork of the outer façade made of dark lacquered larch, which runs all around the two-storey detached house, makes the building the calming pole of its surroundings. The interior design of the building in general was literally tailor-made for the building and literally nestles into the modern and timeless architecture. Thus, the building's façade cladding also continues inside the residential building.

In addition to the façade cladding, thematically placed colour accents such as the polished screed as flooring, the prefabricated concrete staircase or the open kitchen made of black steel lend the modern, reduced interior its individual charm.

This precise detailing can also be seen in the doors of the building. By installing the doors in the middle of the continuous slatted wall inside, an optical illusion almost makes the doors imperceptible. But by installing the Karcher Design door handle model Rhodos ER28 in the award-winning colour Kosmos Black, the almost invisible doors become recognisable again.

However, the door handle does not only attract full attention on the doors of the ground floor, but also on the plain white doors on the upper floor of the house. The strong contrast between the white doors and the black surface of the handle makes it a real eye-catcher and draws the eye directly to itself. It almost stands out from the door, which shows off its colour particularly well.

Built on the Karcher Design fixed rotating three-part screw rosette, the door handle is very easy to install and thus fits perfectly into the theme of the reduced interior. The door handle with hold-up spring is certified with DIN EN 1906 and thus suitable for use category three. Thanks to the environmentally friendly coating process for the paint, the Karcher Design Bestseller handle remains of high quality and fits in well with the contemporary design of the interior thanks to its stylish and timeless design.

In addition, the door handle in the multiple award-winning colour Kosmos Black goes very well with both the open kitchen in black steel and the rest of the fittings in the bathroom.

Just as the Karcher design door handle stands out from the doors, the family home also stands out from its immediate surroundings. Yet despite these clearly visible visual differences, both the handle and the house merge with their immediate surroundings and thus attract full attention.
